Christmas Packs For Women in Prison

Christmas can be a lonely time for a woman in prison. Your gift puts a thoughtful pack of Christmas treats and comforts into her hands, and lets her know she hasn’t been forgotten.

Each pack holds 19 small comforts: including a colouring book, word search, gel pens and pencils, hair care, pampering treats, chocolate, jelly beans, tea and coffee, and cosy socks.

We’ll also add a handwritten Christmas card, with your message if you’d like to include one.

They’re small things. But on a hard day, they’re a reminder that someone outside is thinking of her.

There are nearly 500 women in prison in Victoria, and we want every one of them to receive a Christmas Pack.

You can also gift a 2027 calendar to a woman in prison, featuring artwork created by women in prison and in the community. It's a gift of connection and hope that lasts throughout the year.

This calendar is more than dates—it’s a countdown to change, hope, and brighter futures for the women who receive it. We give one to every woman in Victorian prisons at Christmas.

All the artwork in it is by women in and released from prison, and our Lived Experience Advisory Panel, as well as women in prison, provided ideas and guidance.

It has been designed with women in prison in mind, including a page of prison-friendly recipes with ingredients and cooking conversions. The artwork will bring colour and hope to each woman’s wall.

When you gift a calendar, you're giving a woman at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre or Tarrengower Prison something practical, colourful and hopeful to hang on her wall.
